Lamination of images
Laminating and Image Finishing Services
The purpose of laminating or finishing wide format prints is both to
protect and enhance the printed image.
Display Power offers a wide range of laminate options to suit various
client requirements. These can range from cost or economic restrictions
to aesthetic and functional considerations.
Lamination protection on our DigiSkin Vehicle Wraps is a recent innovation.
Hot Laminating
This process uses film with dry heat activated adhesive coating the image passing between the rollers using heat and pressure. Various weight types and textures of film can be used to achieve a range of results. The risk of melting the ink, and the danger of heat affecting print stocks makes this process high risk.
Cold Laminating
Cold laminate does not require heat to activate the adhesive. These laminating films result in better clarity, superior finish and are available in PH neutral adhesives for archival application. Cold laminates are most often applied single sided and are generally used in conjunction with banner production and image mounting. A wide range of surface finishes are available together with non slip rated finishes for floor graphics.
Image Mounting Services
Used to give images rigidity, durability and a certain "look".
A wide range of mount options are available of various thickness' to suit
the required design, aesthetic and environmental conditions. These can
be either MDF (craft wood) panel, acrylic sheet; sign white steel sheet,
various foam boards or poly carbonate (Lexan) films.
Whatever your needs -- from a full retail graphics fit-out, to innovative
indoor or outdoor display systems and banner stands -- we can help you
achieve the visual impact you are looking for!
